The HTC Vive wireless adapter finally loses the cables but it’s £300

Robert Purchese Senior Staff Writer @Clert The Vive wireless adapter, which frees the headset from the cable tethering it to a PC, will launch here 24th September and oh my giddy aunt it’s £300! And the Vive Pro wireless adapter is £364! What the hell is going on here? The adapters appear to be the same. They’re relatively small and light (129 grams) black devices which look, to me, a bit like a bull’s head and horns. Yes they do. The adapter sits on your head on a band which…

The original Luigi’s Mansion now has a 3DS release date

Tom Phillips News Editor @tomphillipsEG Nintendo may have unceremoniously slain Luigi in its most recent Smash Bros. Direct, but the put-upon plumber brother will be back alive in the upcoming 3DS port of Luigi’s Mansion. A handheld version of the GameCube classic, Luigi’s Mansion for 3DS now has a release date: 19th October. Just in time for Halloween! Apart from its portable size, the 3DS version of Luigi’s Mansion otherwise looks faithful to the original, which was an overlooked gem in the GameCube’s launch line-up. A bit of an oddity…

Gamescom 2018: New Metro: Exodus Trailer Takes Us Through Beautiful, Creepy Russian Ruins

Metro: Exodus has always looked pretty promising, but this latest trailer highlights a couple of things. Firstly, the game looks gorgeous, the ruined Russia setting providing some great backdrops and a fantastic atmosphere. Secondly, there is some very creepy stuff going down. It doesn’t show a whole lot of action, but the new video gives us a brief taste of the kind of baddies we can expect to find in the open world, as well as the locations we’ll be exploring. If it’s anything like the other games in the…

Gamescom 2018: Death May Die in The Sinking City’s Unsettling Cinematic Trailer

It doesn’t reveal a fat lot about Frogwares’ Lovecraftian adventure game, but this cinematic trailer for The Sinking City sure sets the scene strongly. The three minute clip shows the private investigator protagonist slowly succumbing to insanity, as all manner of Cthulhu-esque creatures haunt him. It’s an awesomely unsettling video, we just wished it told us a bit more about the game itself. All in good time, we suppose – it’s due out on 21st March.

UK Sales Charts: Not Much Doing As Crash Bashes the Competition

Imagine being one of those people who didn’t believe in Crash Bandicoot prior to its PlayStation 4 revival. The maniacal marsupial has just secured his eighth consecutive week at the top of the UK sales charts, and this is all fuelled by the recent Nintendo Switch and Xbox One versions – let’s not forget that the character killed it last summer on Sony’s system alone as well. To be honest there’s really not a whole lot else worth talking about this week, as World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth was…

Marvel’s Spider-Man Zips into Warehouses Around the World

Someone get J. Jonah Jameson on the blower, because Marvel’s Spider-Man has started swinging its way into warehouses. This snap spotted on Twitter shows a boatload of copies of Insomniac Games’ latest, and the age rating on the cover suggests that the source of the picture is somewhere in Europe. While this image is almost certainly from storage, it means that the Blu-ray may find itself out in the wild soon – and that means it’s time to start worrying about spoilers.
