State of Mind Brings the Concept of Transhumanism to PS4 Next Month

Transhumanism is the theory that the human race can evolve beyond its current physical and mental limitations, and that belief is what developer Daedalic Entertainment is attempting to explore in its latest title, State of Mind, when it releases next month on 15th August. Pitched as a thriller set in two different realities from the perspective of six characters, it’s clear that the game has lofty ambitions. Japanese Sales Charts: PS4 Numbers Continue to Endure Summer Drought

Stifling heat by Robert Ramsey 18 hours ago Well, there’s not much happening in the latest Japanese sales charts — unfortunately for us. The PS4 and PS4 Pro shifted a combined 17,000 or so units, and we’re probably not going to see any…

Mafia 3 once had an opening so controversial all trace of it had to be erased

Mafia 3 opens with a documentary-style montage and potted history of the game’s main character, Lincoln Clay, whose body and life you jump into shortly after he returns from the war in Vietnam. But the game didn’t always open this way. Once upon a time Mafia 3 had a far more explosive start, a ‘cold open’ sequence to play out before the opening montage. It was controversial stuff – so sensitive, in fact, developer Hangar 13 scrubbed it from existence lest footage ever get out. “That whole cold-open has been…
