Cyberpunk 2077 Still in Pre-Alpha Stage

Despite recent news that CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 will release on PS4 and not next generation, by the sounds of things it’s still a long way off.

In an interview with Polish website Bankier (translation provided by WCCFTech) studio president Adam Kicinski claimed that the reason so little gameplay footage has been shown is because the game is still in a pre-alpha stage. He also said that the demo shown at E3 earlier this month “is the most polished part of the game we have now.”

We could be waiting at least a year or so for the Polish studio’s long-awaited return, then — although the fact that Kicinski mentioned that 350 people are already working on the game, with more staff to come, shows that they’re working hard on it.

Will Cyberpunk 2077 be worth the wait? Get modifying in the comments below.
