Marvelous Games has unveiled Daemon x Machina, an over-the-top mech fighter coming to Switch in 2019. Looking like a cross between Metal Gear Rising and No More Heroes, Daemon x Machina’s announcement trailer wastes no time in piling on the outlandish action set-pieces. There are ground battles, air battles, little mechs, big mechs, and even bigger mechs with swords – not to mention an endless onslaught of explosions, all set to a furious metal soundtrack. It’s certainly an attention grabber. “Take your Arsenal, a fully customizable powered suit, out for…

E3 2018: Swing Through Spider-Man’s Shocking Show Floor Demo

Want to see more Spider-Man running on the PlayStation 4? Of course you bloody do! Sony’s uploaded a ten minute clip captured from the exclusive’s showfloor demo, and it sees the web-slinger swingin’ through Manhattan, mopping up crime and dropping wise cracks. The demo ends with a pretty cool boss battle in a bank featuring Shocker. We like how kinetic everything looks; Spider-Man’s constantly on the move, and it feels like you have a lot of tools to plan your own approach to each combat scenario. Good stuff.

E3 2018: The Last of Us: Part II Release Date Won’t Be Revealed Until Its ‘Very Close’

Sony didn’t date God of War or Detroit: Become Human until they were weeks away from release, so it looks like it’s going to follow a similar philosophy for its other big PlayStation 4 exclusives. And speaking as part of an E3 2018 panel, Naughty Dog has hinted that we won’t get a release date for The Last of Us: Part II until it’s “very close to release”. Presumably that’s not the case at the time of typing. It’s a bit frustrating not knowing the general timeframe that the developer’s…

Sony Prevents PS4 Players from Logging in to Fortnite on Switch

Fortnite on the PlayStation 4 does not allow cross-console play, this much we know. However a bigger story has been developing since the release of the Nintendo Switch version earlier today: you can’t log in to the game if you’ve previously linked your Epic Account with the PlayStation Network. Well, you can, but you’ll need to create a new account and start over. The reason for this is unclear: it could be security, purchase protection, or simply Sony being an ass. Either way, this is creating a social media sh*t…
